Then I put ½ cup water in the crockpot.... added a few quirts of Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce, ….stirred well... cut up some onion slices, added them to the bottom of the pot, and put the lid on. Set my TIMER for 1 hour.
In 1 hour, I pulled the two cutlets apart.... laid them on the onions in the BBQ mixture.... squirted more BBQ sauce from the container onto each pork chop and sprinkled a bit of salt & pepper on top. Put the lid back on, and set the crockpot onto LOW for the remaining 5 hours.
I made fresh mashed potatoes on the stove top, and prepared the swiss chard from our garden.
As I had NEVER made pulled pork before, I was a bit scared here, but I removed the pork with a slotted spoon into a medium bowl, and pressed my hand-mixer into the pork and I'll be!!.... it shredded like nobody's business!! I was SO impressed! I added about a ladle's worth of the pot's sauce, and a couple of squirts more of BBQ sauce from the bottle...
When plating this, we had the swiss chard on the side, and I put 2/3 of the pulled pork on our mashed potatoes, 1/3 on the plate. He insisted on drizzling lots more pan sauce & having the onions on top of his.}}
You KNOW i'll be making THIS again and again :-)

OldTownGalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01594801976421917328noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8981324262662125431.post-65896928554365079852016-05-07T12:40:26.738-04:002016-05-07T12:40:26.738-04:00I will be using this for my wedding reception.
